Home Farming Day was a huge success all across the country! With the help of Urban Farming™ and Paul James, our resident expert, over 3,000 home farmers got down in the soil at the live Plantathon in New York City and community groundbreakings in Tampa and L.A. And over 14,000 home farmers like you participated online!
Also, Washington D.C., Denver, Boston, Bentonville, Naperville, Cincinnati, Tampa and Minneapolis have all proclaimed April 12, 2011 as Home Farming Day.

New York City Plantathon Highlights
It was a soggy day in Madison Square Park but that didn't stop people from planting on at the Plantathon! Seed post cards were sent, Triscuit crackers were eaten, and gardens were started all while Paul James talked us through our pressing home farming questions.

L.A. and Tampa Community Groundbreaking Highlights
Great weather and good company made for perfect groundbreakings at the Common Ground Christian Church in Tampa and Loyola Marymount University in L.A. Old pros and novice gardeners alike were seen sporting new gloves and planting vegetables.
